Entry Requirements for Pathways
To study at The Deepings Sixth Form, you need to have achieved the general criteria of a minimum grade 4 in Maths and English plus three other subjects at grade 5 or above.
Students who wish to study A Level courses need a grade 6 in the existing subject.
Students who wish to study vocational courses need a grade 5/ L2 Merit in the existing subject.
Students who wish to study a new course not studied in KS4 will require a grade 5 in English.
Exceptions to this are:
- Psychology: Requires a grade 6 in Maths and English.
- Medicinal Science: Requires a grade 5 in Science.
- Economics: Requires a grade 6 in Maths.
How to apply for a place
To apply for a place at our Sixth Form in September 2025, please complete our online application form as appropriate.
Please note: All courses are offered on a provisional basis. The school may withdraw courses unless a sufficient number of applications are received. Applications received after the initial application deadline will still be considered although these will not be taken into account when decisions are made about which courses will be withdrawn.
In the event of oversubscription of a subject we will apply our oversubscription criteria as published in our Admissions Policy on the school website
