On Tuesday 27th February the Y8 girls football team were back in action attending a futsal tournament at Haven High. Futsal being a lot more fast paced and skilful with shorter game length would be an adjustment to the girls. The girls started with a bang winning the first 3 matches with a total goal count of 10! With powerplays in place the girls even ended up playing a game with 2 players Vs 5! Narrowly losing out in their next 2 games, before finishing with a 2-1 win over Bourne Academy. Smiles all round finishing narrowly in 4th missing out on 3rd place by 1 goal, the girls had a great day and with 7 different goal scorers throughout the day. They now look ahead to a quarter final county cup match.
