Post 18 options can be a daunting prospect.  To assist Year 12 pupils in finding out about what’s available, the Sixth Form held a Careers Marketplace.

The event was supported by AECOM, NHS, Pilgrim Foods, Project Trust, the Armed Forces, Travelex, TVS Interfleet and Bakkavor.

All the companies and organisations who attended expressed how engaged our students were. One commented:

‘I was just remarking to a colleague how engaging and attentive all the students we spoke to were, and how all came across as interested in what we do by showing they had the foresight to be prepared suitably and ask pertinent questions.’

In June year 12 students will have the opportunity to visit an UCAS Discovery event to assist in researching universities and other opportunities.

Year 12, Hannah, said:

A big THANK YOU to all the companies that attended the Year 12 Careers Fair yesterday (18/05). I found them very useful and will be applying to multiple of the companies for a degree apprenticeship next year. I, who am hoping for a career in engineering, found several new companies that I had never heard of and was even offered work experience to all of them.

I would even say that one seemed like my dream job. I would like to thank all the staff who helped set this up.
