On Wednesday 8 February we welcomed Ajay Tegala,

Wildlife TV presenter, countryside ranger, conservationist, naturalist, filmmaker, voice-over artist, author of The Unique Life of a Ranger, and ex The Deepings School Student.

Ajay visited the library to give a talk on his career in conservation which began here, at Deeping Lakes, and to read from his book.

Many thanks to the Student Librarians and Mrs Wallis (librarian) and Mrs Goodchild (School Business Manager) for organising and running the event.

As a lover of all wildlife, Ajay quickly made friends with our library mascot Desmond!  He was also very happy to chat to members of the school community after his talk.

We had a very successful evening listening to his stories, as well as selling books and refreshments in aid of the library.
