New shiny books thanks to Central Co-op Community Dividend Funding
BackNews
Students have been delighted to start using new sets of books designed to improve their reading thanks to Central Co-op Community Dividend Funding.
Those attending reading mentoring groups like the one pictured where their reading is supported by Sixth Form volunteers get through a lot of books, and the ones they have get pretty worn through a lot of use!
Mrs Wallis, Librarian said
“It has been fantastic to offer new shiny books to our Year 7 readers this morning and to our other reading groups from now on in order to further encourage their reading. It is such a vital life skill.”
Many thanks to school governor Helen Morgan for assisting with the bidding process.
