This week, our Year 12 students have been out on work experience, developing their skills and learning more about the jobs that may be available to them when they finish their education. A diverse number of businesses provided a wide range of interesting placements, and we are most grateful to them for their support.

Schools, care homes, engineering organisations, hospitals, the media and companies in the hospitality, sports and animal sectors were all involved in helping students learn more about different job roles and career paths.

Employers have provided very positive comments and the Laurels Care Home said,

"Beth and Charlie have been with us all week and I wanted to pass on how fantastic they have been. Both Beth and Charlie are extremely kind, considerate and caring and a real credit to the school.  We have really enjoyed having their help this week and they will be missed."

On return to school next week, students will have the opportunity to reflect on their experience and begin to consider their next steps and Post 18 options.

A few students were unable to secure placements and followed a comprehensive work-related programme in school for the week, which will help them with their future decision making and career planning.
