BackA level results day - students celebrate their success!
Students at The Deepings School are once again celebrating some excellent A Level and BTEC results. In a year where national grade comparisons are against 2019, The Deepings School has improved. The school is celebrating a pass rate of 99%, along with a variety of individual subject and student success across the sixth form. Almost all students achieved their first-choice of university and course, further reinforcing their success and giving cause for celebration.
The class of 2023 are venturing far and wide. Many are heading to university in the coming weeks to study a range of courses. These include Biomedical Science, Quantity Surveying, creative writing and nursing to name but a few. Degree apprenticeships are gaining popularity, with students taking up engineering and policing through this route.
A notable success has been Jacob Bush who alongside studying for A levels has also recently represented Great Britain and The World Cycling Championship, coming fifth in the under 23 World Cycling Championships Time Trial. He will be pursuing his career in cycling and has been signed to the international development squad based in the Netherlands.
Ms Johnson, Headteacher at The Deepings, congratulated students on their achievements. She said: “This year was always going to be particularly challenging, however, I am delighted so many of our students have risen to this challenge and excelled in their examinations. They have secured excellent destinations for their continued study and I wish them well for the future.”
